Shortly before 9pm Sunday evening, first alarm companies were alerted to a reported house fire on the unit block of Evergreen lane in Phoenixville Borough. Initial reports indicated a fire inside the second floor. Crews arrived and found heavy fire with extension to both exposure buildings.

The fire was placed under control within an hour. Displaced residents are being tended to by the Red Cross and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Station 68 personnel operated on scene for about 3 hours while assisting with suppression, salvage & overhaul.
