March 31, 2026

While Upper Merion units operated at a residential fire, Engine 68-3 was alerted to relocate to the Allendale Rd Station. Engine 68-3 responded shortly after dispatch with a crew of 4.

While on stand-by, Station 68 was alerted for a second call to assist 61 (Kimberton) at a house fire on the 2000 block of Valley Hill Rd. Engine 68-5 responded moments after dispatch with a crew of 5. First arriving units found fire evident from the front of the dwelling. Engine 68-5 arrived as the 4th due engine and supplied manpower for overhaul.

In the overnight hours, Station 68 was alerted for a residential fire alarm. While responding, the assignment was upgraded to a house fire with reports of smoke on two floors. 68 and mutual aid companies searched for a source and identified a motor on a sump pump that failed.

Valley Forge crews were in service for approximately 1 hour at each call. That totals approximately 3 hours utilizing 27 volunteers.
